About Ati Foundation
Rooted in compassion,
growing through community
Ati Foundation was established in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, on 30th August 2009 (corresponding to the 10th day of the 7th month of the Earth Ox year in the Bhutanese calendar) by the disciples of His Holiness Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche.
Objectives of the Ati Foundation:
- To preserve, protect, and promote the teachings of the Buddha in general, and in particular the Nyingma tradition with its six special qualities.
- To introduce and spread understanding of Dharma among the community, including awareness of right and wrong conduct.
- To carry out beneficial activities that align with the national vision of Gross National Happiness of Bhutan.
- To uphold and preserve the rich cultural traditions of Bhutan, and to serve the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha).
- Under the leadership of the organization, to conduct religious teachings, perform rituals for the living, carry out merit-making activities for the deceased, and provide support and services for virtuous deeds as much as possible.

The organization requires a minimum of five board members. The board includes positions such as President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other dedicated and committed members.
